Halle is sitting up

Halle can sit up really well now without any help at all. She loves to sit up and be able to play with toys and look around. She loves toys that make lots of noise and she grabs for things and always has to have her hands on something. She is babbling and has been for a while now, she says things like "mamama" a lot and makes little squealing sounds. She is so much fun. She has the sweetest little disposition. She has also become really shy around people other than me and Cory and Luke the last little while. If it is someone she really doesn't know she will tuck her head into me and not even look at them. The other day I was at the appliance store and was holding her and she had her head tucked into me the whole time I was talking to the salesman. I wonder if she will end up having a little more of a shy personality or if this is just a stage she is going through? She is such a sweetie and we love her so much!

Six months!

I just can't believe our sweet Halle is six months old today. How time flies. She is such a pure joy to have in our family. She has the sweetest little disposition. I just love holding her and kissing her chubby cheeks. I love the little smirk she gets on her face when she is about to smile, and the sound of her laugh is the sweetest sound to hear.

Today Luke was running around, actually running over packing bubbles and making them pop, and she thought it was the funniest thing. She was squealing and laughing so hard, it was the cutest thing and it was the longest I have heard her laugh like that. Luke can get her to laugh and get excited more than anyone, she loves her big brother and he loves her.

She is at such a fun age, she is so aware of everything that is going on but is still such a sweet little innocent baby. She loves to be held and I am constantly holding her. Cory tells me I shouldn't hold her so much and that I am spoiling her, but tonight after I put our active little Luke to bed I decided I will hold her and hold her as much as she and I want because soon she will be two like Luke and the times I get to hold her will be few and far between!

We love this little girl so much. I can't believe she is already half a year old, it is fun to watch her grow but it makes me a little sad at the same time. But, then I think of all the fun times we have ahead and I am okay with it. Her sweet little personality reminds me a lot of my mom. I also think she has my mom's eyes. She has beautiful eyes and people tell us that all the time. She is such a sweet, good little girl and I know she and I will be best friends one day, just like me and my mom are.

Here are some of the fun things she is doing:
-She has almost mastered sitting up
-When she gets excited before she is about to laugh she has to catch her breath and makes this funny gulping sound and it is so cute
-She loves rattles and anything that makes noise, and loves to put them in her mouth
-She rolls over really well and holds her head up so high when she is on her tummy, it's really cute
-She loves to watch Luke play and run around and thinks her brother is one funny guy
-She is eating solids, her favorites are pears, sweet potatoes, and carrots. So far she's not a big fan of whole wheat cereal but tonight she ate multiple bites for the first time!
-She would sleep in our bed every night so peacefully if we would let her, but we had to break that before it became a habit!

First Tooth!

Halle got her first tooth today! It is one of her little lower teeth poking through. I noticed it this morning when I was letting her chew on my finger and I felt a little hardness and pulled down her lip and there it was! Cute little girl. She is such a sweetie I never would have known she was teething!

Luke got some tents from my mom and dad for his birthday and likes to hang out in them. This time Cory put Halle in there with him and he loved it! They are already such little budies. It is so cute how Luke loves to include her in things.

Our house

Our house is coming along, they will be finished framing it on Friday!

Halle loves this exersaucer! She has actually been sitting in it next to me this whole time I have been typing and is perfectly happy! These things are the greatest invention!

Another Lukey line up

Luke got some tents from my mom and dad for his birthday and likes to hang out in them. This time Cory put Halle in there with him and he loved it!

Scooting and eating real food

Halle scooted across the room today! I can't believe she is scooting already. Time is just flying by, I can't believe how fast she is growing. She'll be 5 months in 6 days. I was at my mom's today and one minute she was laying in the middle of her quilt on the floor and the next thing we knew she had scooted over by the couch about six feet away. This little girl is growing up too fast! She is such a little sweetheart.

Also, she had her first real food last week. First squash, and then a couple days later we moved onto sweet potatoes. She seems to be liking them when I can get her to keep them in her mouth!
