Holiday fun

At the Ferguson Christmas party

Riding the train around the mall

Making Christmas countdown chains. Notice the Rudolph Luke is holding - his new favorite stuffed animal.

Our Christmas tree. Ornaments are only on the upper half, otherwise the kids would pull them all off!

At the Grand America to see their Christmas displays and Santa. They had this little bobsled car the kids thought was really fun, and Halle loved sitting in it.

Visiting Santa and Mrs. Claus! The kids were both scared to sit on their laps by themselves so we jumped in the photo with them.

Grandma Lori says...

So Halle is quite the little climber and attacker. She is a definite go’er and doesn’t want to slow down and take it easy for much of anything. Obviously one of Halle’s favorite places must be Costco because Costco is one of her favorite words - but she says it more like “cawco”. She likes singing “Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree”, she kind of follows along and always lifts up her arms and hands to say “pop”, “pop”. That seems to be her favorite part.

Last night Halle showed us how she can shrug her shoulders. You know how you just lift up your shoulders? It was so funny on a little baby. She shrugs them really high, over and over and it looks so silly.

Glasses Obsession

Do all kids have an obsession with glasses? Because these two sure do. Luke is starting to grow out of it but Halle is totally entralled with them. Whenever she sees glasses she HAS to get her hands on them to try them on or she starts whining and pointing and throwing a little tantrum. I love it when she puts them on upside down :). The kids often end up breaking the glasses...good thing they are just cheap reading glasses.

I get a kick out of them wearing the glasses every time. They just look so cute and studious with them on. Grandpa Sheldon took these pics a few weeks ago and sent them over to me a couple days back and I thought they were so cute.

Little Halle is quite the character and is always running around with lots of energy and getting herself into trouble. She learned to climb onto the couch – next she climbed onto the end table, from the couch – next she fell off the end table right onto the wood floor. So I moved that table away from the couch.

Wakeboarding

Luke loves to say he is "wakeboarding" when he trips and falls or slides on the wood floor and falls.
One time Luke did this and we were talking about wakeboarding and all the sudden Halle started spinning. It took us a second to realize what she was doing but whenever we said "wakeboarding" she would start spinning again. So now that we made the connection we will ask her to "wakeboard" and she starts turning/spinning around. It's pretty funny. We have to watch her and make sure she's not too close to anything because she'll get going and get dizzy and fall!

Little Indians

Last week we made Indian hats one night. Cory was the cheif. The kids were the little Indians. Luke loved his and wouldn't take it off. He wore it everywhere we went for the next two days. He's really into jumping for the camera lately. :) Halle, on the other hand, wasn't too excited with keeping hers on. At least we got a couple pictures before she ripped it in half. She would rather have these lamb ears on while doing the indian sound thing over her mouth.

Goodbye Cast!

Halle is officially done with her cast! I took her to her follow up appointment on Friday and they did another xray and it is healing great. You can still see the injury in the xray but it looks a million times better. He kept saying how amazing it is how fast little kids heal...it really is! So he said as long as she is acting okay with the cast off we can leave it off. We've had it off now for a few days and she'd done great, so I think we are out of the woods!
