Grandma Lori says...
Halle is lurking around next to me right now wondering what she can get into next. She is way busy!!! You know how Luke was at about 18-20 months old. Well Halle has the same amount of energy (if not more) and in some ways she’s even more busy. In a way she’s more good natured – like she doesn’t get upset as easy. For example when she wakes up she’s almost always in a good mood. Whereas if you remember often when Luke would wake up he was (and still is) in a bad mood for a while. But that little girl just struts around swinging her arms like it’s no one’s business and she wants to investigate and pull EVERYTHING apart. Last night we were tending for a little while at Lindsay and Cory’s house and she kind of (just a little bit) figured out what the whole “hide and seek” thing is about. But she just runs up and tries to say “count” and it comes out something like: “tuow” and if I say “count” she says yeah (as clear as can be), then runs off. I’m supposed to count to 10 and call out ready or not here I come. At first she would just kind of meet me in the hall. Then she got to where she would stay in Luke’s room and sometimes even kind of hide. But I’ll tell you she was pretty excited every single time we did it and we must have done that 40 or 50 times. Kids that age are pretty funny and she’s as cute as can be.

Luke's skeleton birthday party
When it came time for Luke's birthday I thought it would be fun to let him pick a party theme for a family birthday party, and what did he want? He wanted a skeleton birthday party! So I decided to go with it, and he loved it!

Grandma Lori says...

We went over to Lindsay and Cory’s yesterday because they wanted us to quickly look at something with their house. Anyway, while we were there for almost two hours, the entire time Halle kept saying to me “come” or “come on” which meant I was supposed to follow her and see what she wants. It doesn’t come out completely clear but you can tell what she’s saying and she gives a little waive of the arm (or gesture) that says basically: we’re going this way and she leads on. About every 5 steps or so she gives a quick glance to make sure you’re following. Anyway, it’s pretty funny. So she was leading me on and leading me around the house for a good hour, waiving me on and saying “come on”. So anyway that’s her current thing to just march you around. Yesterday we went over to Lindsay and Cory's to look at the ice on their roof. The fun part of the visit was that the kids were so excited to see us! They were jumping in front of the window when they saw our car. It's so nice to be so popular! Halle quickly sought out Gampa so I started playing with Luke.
