Every year over the 4th of July we go up to Park City with the Fergusons
and spend the weekend up there. The men go golfing during the day and
the kids and moms stay at the hotel and swim, swim, swim all day long!
At night we always go out to eat at yummy resturants and we usually try
to hit the Park City outlets while we're up there. The kids love it and
it's a fun tradition we look forward to each year.
This year we stayed at the Waldorf up at the Canyons. It's our second
year staying there at the Waldorf and we like it a lot it's super nice!
Maybe even a little too nice....by the end of the trip Luke kept asking
where our "turn down service" was at night and where "room service" was
to clean up our messes! We decided it's a good thing we're going
camping for our next trip because our kids can't get too used to this
kind of luxury, especially at three and four years old!
The kids loved swimming. Luke is a really good swimmer and goes all over
the place with his floaties on, and this trip Halle did the same! It's
the first time she's felt comfortable going out on her own with her
floaties in the water and she had lots of fun.
The kids loved spending time with their second cousins, Mason and Myah
(or maybe third?) - they are actually Cory's cousin Leslee's kids, so
however that works out.
Fun times!

Nothing like ice cream on a hot summer day...
The day we were going up to Park City Grandma Dixie wanted to go
shopping over at The District, the outdoor mall by our house. So we went
and took the kids. They, of course, lasted about five minutes before
they wanted to run around. So I took them on a little walk while Grandma
tried on clothes and we came to an ice cream shop I've been wanting to
try but never have. I let the kids both order whatever they wanted -
Luke got his very favorite - chocolate, and Halle wanted "pink" so she
got cotton candy, which she loved. It was such a hot day and so nice to
cool down to some delicious ice cream! And messy hands and faces aren't
that bad when they look this cute!

Coloring, coloring, coloring!
These kids love to color, color, color all the time! I print off
pictures for them to color from the internet of their favorite TV shows,
and have noticed we have been going thru ink much more quickly lately!
This summer the Disney Jr. channel is having a thing where you print off a picture of your favorite character from their shows and email it into them and they will show it on TV. Luke thought this was such a cool idea! So we printed these pictures off and had thee kids color them. Problem is there are probably so many kids doing it that our chances of actually getting on TV are probably slim, but at least we tried!
They both love all the shows, but this day Luke decided to color Doc from Doc McStuffins and Halle did Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates.

First boating day of the season
We went boating for the first time of the season last Friday on Grandpa Sheldon's boat with he and Grandma Lori. The kids thought it was lots of fun and Cory and I did a tube ride with the kids - an actual real one! Grandpa Sheldon got going pretty fast at times and even took us over a few bumps to where I was getting a little nervous, but the kids loved it! I guess that means they are growing up!
Both kids were really cute, when both me and Cory were out wakeboarding they would both cheer for us. We are lucky to have a grandma and grandpa that are so much fun and active and go boating all the time and are so willing to take us!
But Halle said something so darling I have to share. Cory was the first to go and when he was out there wakeboarding she yelled out to him, "Daddy, you're a cool dad! You're my guy!" Ahhh, cutest girl ever!

Jam, mustard and lettuce sandwich
No that title wasn't a typo, today Halle asked me to make her a jam, mustard and lettuce sandwich. At first I was trying to talk her into something else but she kept persisting so I just decided to let her try it and show her how yucky that combination is, but the plan backfired! I made her the sandwich and gave it to her, but she actually really liked it and started scarfing it up! I documented her making the sandwich with me for proof.
In fact, she was eating really quick and must have been taking too big of bites because on her last bite she started choking and I had to do the baby Heimlich on her - I had to hit her on the back to get the chunk of sandwich out. After a minute or so the chunk still wasn't out and she wasn't breathing and I was getting really scared, so I was on my way running to the phone to call 911 when all the sudden she choked it up. What a relief!
I guess I'll have to ration her mustard, jam and lettuce sandwiches from now on so she doesn't get too excited and eat so fast that she causes herself to choke again!

April pictures
A new outdoor mall opened up downtown called City Creek. We went down with the kids, parked down at Cory's work parking lot and rode the trax up to City creek. It was a fun day!
Errand Buddy
Halle is such a good little errand buddy. She has stopped taking naps just over the past month or so, so instead of me going home and having her nap while Luke's at preschool lots of times we will go and run errands. And she is so much fun. I love looking back in the car and seeing her happy, smiling face. She hardly ever complains, she is just as pleasant as can be and is so much fun. I'm sure I've said it before, but this girls is my sunshine! We love her so much!
Thomas in the Hair
Halle got Luke's Thomas train stuck in her hair. It was quite the moment of panic, it's a battery run train so the wheels were turning and she was screaming and I was afraid it would eat a bunch of her hair up! Luckily I got to her in time to get it turned off without it taking too much of her hair!

Scary Halle Dinosaur!
Halle and Luke were at work coloring pictures. I left the kitchen for a minute and was back in my room. After just a minute or so Halle came running into my room, marker all over her, and announced, "I a scary dinosaur! Rawrr!" Cutest dinosaur ever!
These two love to get food and things out of the pantry, put them on the bench or table and play store or whatever else with them.
