Stuffed animals and sleepovers

I love that they love having "sleepovers" out in our family room, and that they love to set out their favorite stuffed animals with them. They play for hours with these stuffed animals. I love that Luke will still plays with them with Halle. They get so into it.  Luke was thrilled when he won the big blue bear in an auction at school today because it could be a husband to the big white bear and the little bears would finally have a dad. He said a lot of the kids in the class wanted that big blue bear but he was the lucky one with enough tickets to get it! (They get tickets for good behavior). Between that and his two baby chicks he got today (yes, we have chicks!) he kept saying "pinch me, this must be a dream!" and "this is one of the best days of my life!" It was a great day! Love these kiddos and love being their mom! It just keeps getting better and better!

After school when he got home with the bear.

The chicks! More to come on them!

Let's play music recital

This year Halle has been in a music program called Let's Play Music. She and her good friend next door, Elise, are in it together. In it they learn about the basics of music through signing songs, playing bells and simple instruments, and also through puppet shows they do to famous classical songs. They also do hand signs to go along with the notes "do, re, me..." and learn the major scale that way. Halle's really enjoyed it and it's been fun because she had class once a week and every other class is a "parent week" so I get to go with her and have a little time with her at class. Halle is very musical and has a lot of ability that way and it's been fun to see her catch on and learn this year. And, she has the most beautiful voice! I hope she will continue wanting to sing and do music even though this class is over.

Tonight was her recital and she shined! She was so darling performing up there and did so well. She is so expressive when she sings and performs and I love watching her. It was a lot of fun to see her sing, play the Autoharp and bells.

We sure love our Halle girl! She is multitalented!

Halle's really into taking selfies lately. I felt honored that she invited me in on this one :). Love this sweet, spunky girl of mine!

Thankful

After being super sick last week I'm so grateful to be outside with my kids enjoying the sun and just to be out and about driving today, picking up carpool and dropping books off to the library. It's the little things!

Pillow pile!

Lazy Sunday mornings (and jumping off mom and dad's bed into piles of pillows and blankets) are the best!

(Asher wasn't as excited about the pillow pile and would rather be throwing things down the stairs!)

Happy St. Patty's Day!

The leprechaun visited our house and brought the kids their yearly lucky charms, turned our milk green, and all our toilet water green! We also made lucky charm Marshmellow treats, and the kids looked super cute in their green outfits.

Missing teeth!

And the other one's gone! This cute girl lost both front teeth within two days of each other. I was just getting used to how grown up she looked with one gone, and then the other fell out! I love the little lisp she has now trying to talk with a gap in her teeth. Looks cute and sounds cute! Love you sweet girl!

St. George weekend

We escaped the inversion in Salt Lake to sunny St. George for President's Day weekend. Scooter rides, picnics, and swimming in February...yes please! :)
