Dance class

Today at Halle's dance class it was parent observation day. It was so fun to go and see her dance! She is so coordinated and such a good dancer. I think like having me there and seemed to have fun performing for me and showing off her moves and what they do in class.

I knew Halle was super flexible but I didn't realize she could do this! Wow! I don't know where she gets it's but definitely not from me!

She was great and dance and when they did a little tubljng she really impressed everyone with her tumbling skills. She is one amazing little gymnast!

I has so much fun watching her! It was fun to have some time with just me and Halle. Love you my Halle girl! You are the best!

Creative, funny girl

Tonight we had tacos for dinner and there was one tortilla left over that was left out on a plate. When dinner was all cleaned up I was in the other room and Halle ran in and asked me if she could have the last tortilla left. I said sure, thinking she must still be hungry. Later on after the kids were in bed I was in the kitchen clearing stuff off the counter and saw this:

I guess she thought the tortilla would make a pretty good smiley face. What a funny, creative girl.

This morning Halle lined up all her dolls by colors. She was very proud! Such a creative and smart girl!

Tonight Halle was having fun accessorizing Avery. I think she liked it!

Before bedtime I read to Luke and Halle and last week we finished the book The Boxcar Children, which they both loved. Tonight we watched the movie together which was a lot of fun, and Halle held Avery during it. She held her for quite awhile and adjusted Avery from sitting up in her lap to cradling her in her arms, and Halle was so excited she was doing this all herself! Such a good big sister!

I love my kids so much and their sweet, fun, individual personalities. I still have to take a step back every now and then and say to myself, wow, I'm a mom of four beautiful kids, and that's pretty awesome! There's nothing more important to me, and nothing if rather be doing. I love being their mom.

"I look ten"

Halle was playing with a few girls in the neighborhood yesterday who are a couple years older than her. She's the type that can play with girls her own age and also gets along with older girls and they like her to play with them, she's always been so mature socially for her age. She was out playing all day and ran home to get some fruit snacks to share with the girls. Then she said, "mom, I don't look five anymore, I look ten. I've grown up a lot lately." She sure has! She's gone through a growth spurt and lost any bit of baby chub she had left and  I would after, is looking so grown up! But, let's slow down now, let's move one year at a time please! Mama can't stand you growing up too quickly!

So I had to take a picture of her looking ten :).

Easter

Easter weekend in St George was a lot of fun! It was the first time we have gone on a trip with the twins and it went good!

On our way there

Swimming

Easter morning

First lost tooth!

Halle lost her first tooth while we were in St George over Easter. It had been loose for a few weeks and she was so excited for it to come out. It was really cute how proud she was when it finally came out. She wanted to keep her tooth and the tooth fairy let her and left her a little note with her money.

It kind of makes me sad how grown up she looks now without her tooth! It just hit me when she lost it how old she is looking and getting. She is at the cutest age where she is so grown up and can have conversations with me and us so capable, but at the same time is still so sweet and innocent. I wish I could freeze time! My girl is growing up too fast!

Spring snow

We had a big spring snowfall a couple days ago. Luke and Halle had lots of fun playing in it and built a snowman. The next day it warmed up fast. The cute snowman started melting quickly. So we took a picture with Halle and him about an hour before Luke got home from school.

By the time he got home the snowman looked like this.

Once the outside snowman melted Luke was so excited to show me what he came up with...an indoor snowman! Made of diaper boxes. Of course we have plenty of those laying around here! The kids were excited because this snowman will never melt. Such a creative kids :).
